Shortcuts - drawing screens: P

The polygonal room function allows you to draw rooms that are not square or  rectangular. Below a step-by-step explanation is provided on how to use this function.

1.    In the menu bar, click on the Polygon function in the sub-screen drawing, or press the P key;

2.    Click a location in the drawing. This can be a snap vertex of another object, or a snap vertex on the grid;

3.    Move your cursor and click on the next point or enter the correct length and angle (in the sub-screen Length [mm], angle [°]) on your keyboard, and press ENTER:

§ Optionally, press down SHIFT and move the cursor to a red line. The SHIFT function displays a cross with angles of 15° which you can use to snap. Keep your mouse on the red line and specify the right length in metre on your keyboard. On Keep your silenced this red line on your keyboard and enter the correct length in metres. Press ENTER.

§ If you want an extension of a particular vertex, please hold the mouse on a vertex. This will cause X-, Y-, and Z axes to appear at which you can snap.

§ If the line is incorrect, press BACKSPACE.

§ If you want to leave the polygon function, press ESCAPE. If less than three points were defined, the lines drawn are undone. If three or more point were defined, the room is created based on these points. You can remove this room again using Delete.
