Shortcuts - drawing screens: U (pull / push) |
With this option you can push and pull a plane. The pushing or pulling is applied perpendicular to the plane in all cases (filter selection inactive).
14. Click Push/Pull in the sub-screen Edit of the menu bar, or press the U key;
15. Click on the plane you wish to pull or push with the left mouse button;
16. A yellow line appears which indicates the axis of translation of the plane. Shift your mouse along this line.
17. Optionally, you may indicate the desired translation (Distance [mm]) and press ENTER. The plane will be repositioned based on this input value;
§ Instead of specifying the translation using this input value, you may also perform the translation with your mouse. In this case move your mouse button to indicate the correct translation and click the mouse button. It is possible to snap a reference point which should be parallel to the plane.
In contrast to the function Move, in this function the plane is extended or shortened perpendicular to the plane. In case you move a plane, all coordinates linked to this plane are moved along. In the Push/Pull option these coordinates remain the same.
Instead of clicking in steps 2 and 4, you may also keep the mouse button pressed whilst moving the mouse. This will increase the speed of drawing.
