The function to draw a line allows you to draw an additional line or to break a line. As a result you will be able to move additional points or to create additional rooms. Drawing a line may also be convenient when you need help lines, for example when the construction of a façade is not the same within one plane.
9. Click Draw a line on the menu bar in the screen Drawing, or press the L key;
10. Move within the drawing to the location you want to draw a line. This location may be a vertex or a point on a line;
11. Click on a vertex or a line with you left mouse button. The starting point of the line appears.
§ Press ESCAPE in case you want to break the line by a single point.
12. Move your mouse until the line is in the right position. At the bottom right of the screen a distance can be specified in Distance [mm]. This is the distance which is visualised by a dark blue line in the drawing screen.
13. Click on a different line or point with you left mouse button. This results in a new line which divides the plane.
§ You can now edit this line using the editing function in the sub-screen Edit geometry.
Instead of clicking in steps 3 and 5, you may also keep the mouse button pressed whilst moving the mouse. This will increase the speed of drawing.
