The infiltration flow rate, or qv;10, can be specified for each building module separately. This is possible using multiple input methods and different units:
HL
If a
Building meets Dutch Building Code, the
infiltration flow rate is determined for the calculations based on the specified
qv;10
value (if applicable), the ventilation
system (housing), and the Building dimensions: Level height of top floor
(non-residential). Flow rates are given for buildings with and without openable
windows for buildings which do not comply with the Dutch Building
Code.
§ Maximum qv; 10 [dm³/(s.m²Ag)] In this case a maximum characteristic air permeability of the building envelope is assumed, used to determine the infiltration flow rate Qi. Please consult Infiltration flow rates for the applied values;
§ Custom qv; 10 [dm³/(s.m²Ag)] In this case the characteristic air permeability of the building envelope is specified, from which the infiltration flow rate Qi is determined;
§ Custom infiltration [Select units *] In this case the infiltration flow rate is specified.

In ISSO 53 the infiltration flow rate is determined based on the height of the building and the qv;10 value. The building height is measured from ground level to the floor of the top floor. If no height is specified, this is determined from the geometry. For more information, please see Infiltration flow rates.

The maximum qv;10 value for the rooms as calculated by ISSO 57 does not apply. In these rooms an infiltration rate of 0.2 is applied for buildings which conform to the Dutch Building Code, and an infiltration rate of 0.5 for building which do not conform to the Dutch Building Code. |
CL
In general the
infiltration is not taken into account in the cooling load calculations. It is
also possible to use an infiltration rate of 0.30 in the calculations.
•No infiltration: no infiltration occurs;
•Custom infiltration [Select units *]: in this case the infiltration flow rate Qi is specified

If natural ventilation takes place in the room, this can be added to the infiltration here.

The Building
dimensions: Building height, which is to determine the infiltration flow
rate, can be specified from Properties> Buildings> General.
§ Custom infiltration (wind-dependent) [Number]: a wind dependent infiltration flow rate Qi is defined. These infiltration flow rate may be specified at wind speed of 0, 3, and 6 m/s.
In the Vabi Elements Library you’ll find some default values for infiltration (1/h (m3/(m3·h))) :
0 m/s |
3 m/s |
6 m/s |
0,1 |
0,2 |
0,3 |
For new buildings most of the time you can use lower values:
0 m/s |
3 m/s |
6 m/s |
0,1 |
0,15 |
0,20 |
EPG
The infiltration is
partly determined based on the qv;10 value for the energy performance
calculation EPG. The qv;10 value may be derived from the building
properties (template Building requirements), or it may be user-specified based
on measurements.
•Derived from building properties The qv;10 value is determined based on the implementation variant and building type (see template Building requirements).
•User-defined qv, 10 A user-defined qv;10 value in dm³/(s.m²Ag) is specified here. This value should have been determined based on measurements.
