A summary can be found in the bottom of the screen. This summary presents the total number of buildings, zones, rooms, windows, and doors. In addition, the number of messages, warnings, and errors are shown. All messages can be accessed from the Messages tab.
§ The number of buildings and zones is always equal to “1” at the time.
§ It is possible Elements contains fewer rooms than the IFC. Every deleted room is accompanied by an error message. Please find this error in the Messages tab and compare it with the list of Messages shown below.
§ It is possible Elements contains more or fewer windows and/or doors than the IFC. This may be caused by the following reasons:
o A window and/or door has/have been defined multiple times, on top of each other. In this case Vabi Elements will only leave one of them.
o A window and/or door has/have not been modelled according to the Revit explanation Windows and doors. Most times the window or door misses an opening in the wall, slab, or roof. IFC Viewer can be used to verify this possibility.
§ It is possible that not all interior walls and -slabs have been connected correctly; i.e. they are not highlighted in dark grey in Vabi Elements. This may be caused by the following reasons:
o The rooms have not been modelled according to the Revit explanation Rooms, Spaces, or Areas. IFC Viewer can be used to verify this possibility.
o The interior walls have not been modelled according to the Revit explanation Slab and wall construction. IFC Viewer can be used to verify this possibility.
o The walls are not connected correctly by Vabi Elements, because these walls are too complex, e.g. they may be leaning, slanted, or curved. Walls with many indentations may also cause problems. Try to move the face in Vabi Elements such that the walls may yet be connected.
