The next part in the central library contains the Templates, which can be found in the left bottom of the screen.
Every building and every room is characterized by a set of properties which is used for the calculation modules. Room characteristics are divided between Room templates and Building templates.
Six different room templates have been distinguished:
•Room requirements contain the test conditions or boundary conditions which are intended for the calculations. This includes parameters such as design temperatures, requirements on over/under-heating hours, heating surcharges, etc.;
•Use contains the characteristics of the room regarding its use. It also contains a combination of internal heat productions linked to a time schedule;
§ Architectural contains all predefined architectural details of a room, such as a default assignment of all standard constructions;
•Ventilation contains characteristics regarding ventilation and air infiltration in the room;
•HVAC contains the characteristics of all heating and cooling emission systems linked to the room. This includes a total installation concept including Generation, Distribution, Air handling and Emissive devices, which are linked to the room by this template. In addition, the choice of ventilation system is made here.
•Domestic hot water contains all the characteristics of the domestic hot water systems which are linked to the room. This includes a total installation concept including Generation and Distribution which is linked to the room by this template.
The room templates are linked to the defined rooms. It is possible the project library contains room templates which have not been linked to a room. It can happen that are in the project library space templates that are not linked to spaces. You can link the once defined rooms to other desired templates below Properties> Rooms.
Two different building templates have been distinguished:
§ Building requirements contain a combination of requirements regarding the Dutch Building Code.
§ Building operation contains the information regarding control of parts of the building such as openable windows and blinds.

This can be done by selecting the template and clicking the pushpin icon. Subsequently, the defined buildings and rooms can be linked to other desired templates below Step 3: Linking > Buildings and Rooms. |
