EPG BS
This is the surface area of the PV-panel excluding
the support structure.
EPG BS
The orientation of the PV-panel / solar collector is
specified with respect to the north direction. The north direction corresponds
to an orientation of 0 º and the south direction to an orientation of 180 º. A
PV-panel/solar collector which has been oriented towards the south will give the
most favourable yield. The orientation and the angle of inclination of a
PV-panel / solar collector determine the amount of incident solar radiation as
presented in BS 7120, Chapter 21, for different orientations and
inclinations.
EPG BS
This parameter represents the angle of inclination of
the PV-panel / solar collector. A horizontal surface has an angle of inclination
of 0º, and a vertical surface has an inclination of 90 º. The most favourable
angle of inclination is around 35 or 36 º. The angle of inclination and the
orientation of a PV-panel / solar collector determine the amount of incident
solar radiation as presented in BS 7120, Chapter 21, for different orientations
and inclinations
EPG : To compute the shading reduction factor a minimal obstruction is assumed by default. This cannot be modified at the time.
