If there are any errors reported in the CAD Import they are displayed in the left column under Notifications. Common error messages are:
When there are lines in the CAD drawing present that are shorter than 20 mm, these lines are removed during the importing process.
You can detect these lines in the CAD drawing Qselect function:
69. Open the AutoCAD file that you want to import that contains the error;
70. Key in the command line: Qselect;
71. A window called Quick Select will appear;
72. Select at the option Apply to Entire drawing;
73. Property type Select at the possibility of Line (2D) Polyline;
74. Choose Properties from the possibility Length;
75. Select at the “< Less than”;
76. Enter Value at 10;
77. Click OK, the line segments that give the error, are selected;
78. You can optionally delete or modify these selected line segments.
Parent function does not work with (2D) polyline. In addition, counts the length and total length of the entire line. You should therefore explode. A polyline
All nodes of drawing lines that do not meet exactly (with a margin of error of 20mm) will produce an error, as any spaces they are linked to will not be closed surfaces, and cannot be imported.
Often, this error also related to the previous error message. Namely, when a line is too short to be processed, this line is not included. This results in a non-connected line. You will need to restore the short line to this error in the CAD drawing itself.
If more than one line of text is
present in a room in the CAD file this message will appear to notify that only
the first read text item will be used as the room name, and the other text will
be discarded. If the room name imported is not the one that was intended you can
remove the unnecessary text from the CAD file, and re-import, or simply amend it
after import; see Step 3:

Rooms
.
In step 1 of the CAD import, you can specify which blocks are to be. Windows and doors imported the precondition is that the blocks with their insertion point lying on or in the vicinity of a wall. If this is not the case the software gives the above message and will be the window or door is not imported.
In the drawing layer of the DWG or DXF import drawing objects that does not support Vabi Elements.
• Objects that are not supported are: Hatch, Spline, Circle etc
• Objects that are supported are: Line, Polyline, Arc, and Block (for windows and doors).
An Arc is automatically divided into straight lines.
