Why does importing the BIM model take so long?

Vabi Elements performs the following steps:

1.    Checking the IFC file.

2.    Filtering the IFC file to exclude information that is no relevant.

3.    Displaying the filtered data in the Vabi Elements IFC viewer.

4.    Calculating the center-to-center dimensions of all walls, floors and roofs so that model is converted to our closed 3D model.

5.    Storing and displaying results in Vabi Elements.

Depending on the size and complexity of the building geometry, steps 3, 4 and 5 could take some time.
