The VDI 4707 establishes various usage categories. A lift that is not a lot in use, is a different usage category than a lift that runs a lot.

Common types of buildings and usage

Residential bloc with max. 6 apartments

 

Small office or administration building.

Housing block with up to 20 homes;

Kitchen and catering

Building type

Each building type has standard values for meals, gas consumption, electricity consumption and tap water consumption according to CIBSE TM54 Evaluating Operational Energy Performance of Buildings at the Design Stage 2013. When a building type is chosen, these values are automatically filled in. It can also be chosen to fill in the values yourself.

Usage

When a pre-set building type is chosen, a number of building types indicate whether the use is standard or economical. Choose one of these usage options.
