Heat Loss

With Vabi Elements Heat Loss you make a heat loss calculation (also known as transmission calculation) according to NEN-EN 12831 as recorded in ISSO publications 51, 53 and 57 (2017 or 2012). This is how you determine the heating or installation capacity to be installed in accordance with the requirements. A heat loss calculation is mandatory for a Woningborg certificate.

ISSO 51, 53 and 57 within the same module

A different calculation method is used in the methodology for each building type. Vabi Elements Heat Loss supports them all and automatically determines which one to calculate with. You model, visualize and analyze quickly whether the set performance requirements are met.

Building physical properties including temperature gradient are automatically determined in accordance with ISSO 60, NEN 1068 and 2580, NPR 2068 and the current Building Decree. The user surfaces are determined in accordance with NEN 2580.

The following conditions are important to know:

The heating of all rooms is assumed to be simultaneous;

When determining the capacity to be installed for a room, the heat requirement is determined for the room as a whole and not for room parts;

Calculations based on

•     In accordance with ISSO 51, ISSO 53 and ISSO 57: automatic determination per room;

•     The original recognizable, reliable and now proven calculation cores from Vabi UO;

•     Combinations of the thermal conductivity, heat resistance, density and specific heat of different materials in a construction. Building physical properties including temperature curve are automatically determined in accordance with ISSO 60, NEN 1068, NPR 2068, NEN 2580 and the current Building Decree;

•     Infiltration (qv; 10), ventilation and circulation rates and / or flow rates from outside the building and between the rooms themselves to define or automatically determine;

•     Control of ventilation requirements according to Building Decree 2003 and 2012;

•     Heating surcharges when applying night reduction and air treatment;

•     Determining the capacity to be set up per departure: transmission loss, infiltration loss, ventilation loss and heating surcharge;

•     Determination of the capacity of the heat generator;

•     Security class adjoining houses;

•     Calculation temperature of unheated spaces;

•     Heating surcharge for control per room, adaptive or room thermostat;

•     Specifications air treatment: Blow-in temperatures, heat recovery, temperature after heat recovery;

•     Automatic determination of fraction z;

•     Extra heating of internal mass;

•     Adjustable design outdoor temperature and heat conductivity of the soil;

•     Surcharge for cold materials in accordance with ISSO 57;

•     Extra output via temperature and energy statistics.

Most of the aforementioned components to be entered for the calculations are definable per building and / or room.
