• The templates (for space requirements, usage, architectural, ventilation and HVAC ventilation) can be linked directly to a room by clicking the room in the geometrical view.
• Under "Properties> Building parts", individual building components can now be displayed in the table and in the geometry using the specified colour visualization.
• Using the library to manage resources and templates
• Improvements have been made to the way resources and templates can be transferred between a project and the central library.
• The axis can be moved and rotated so that it is easier to draw, move and copy rooms which are not aligned at right angles with other rooms.
• A new view is available in which walls are opaque.
• Bitmap images can be placed as a carpet in the drawing environment to act as a guide when drawing buildings directly in the software.
• A new view is available in which the thickness of all structures is displayed. This option can also be used in the floor-plan and cross-section views (in which case windows are indicated by a blue line and doors by a brown line).
• Windows can be deleted by selecting them in the "components" table and choosing "delete".
• The results calculated for each variant are now stored in the project file. This means that when a project is re-opened, all graphs, tables and reports for each variant can be viewed without having to re-run the recalculate.
• Vabi Elements is now available in 64-bit and 32-bit versions.
• The 64-bit version should not raise any out-of-memory errors, as it can make use of temporary swap space.
• The way the project (.vp) files are stored has been modified with the aim of speeding up opening and saving a project.
• Calculations using Fortran code should run faster as the Fortran calculations have been recompiled using the new compiler from Intel.
• Projects open more quickly.
• A project's geometry displays more quickly.
• Calculations run more quickly.
• The IFC import now deals with composite walls in a neater way; where each material layer is drawn separately in the source IFC file (such as in a LOD 400 model), the wall is converted by the IFC import into one composite wall.
• The 3D geometry can be exported to DWG or DXF. Exported surfaces are given the colour of the structure specified in Vabi Elements.
• The 3D geometry can be exported to SketchUp (skp).
• It is possible to import a 3D drawing from SketchUp (.skp).
• Interface settings
• The sizes of screen components are remembered so the view is the same the next time the program is run.
• The load duration curve, comfort graphs and daily output chart can now include results for a second variant, making it easy to compare the detailed results of different variants.
• It is now possible to specify the position (on plan) of the point in the room where the room's comfort temperature is to be calculated.
• The flow rate of VAV units can be adjusted based on a CO2 concentration setpoint.
• Bugfixes
• If windows are entered via a percentage, they are now placed on the surface in a more appropriate position.
• The calculation deals better with complex orientations, so it is less likely for "number of orientations" errors to occur.
• Window and doors on an internal wall can now be selected more easily from either side.
• There was an issue in which the program could crash when PV panels were removed. This has been fixed.
• The software did not deal with holiday periods correctly, leading to errors in the building simulation results. This has been fixed.
• Some issues with the reporting of building simulation results have been fixed.
• Some issues with the drawing tools have been fixed.
